Issey Miyake

Issey Miyake, born in Hiroshima on April 22, 1938, is a Japanese fashion designer, a specialist in masterfully combining design and technology in the indicative conceptual exploration of nature, both in his collections and in his designs. He was just 6 years old when the United States dropped the atomic bomb on his city. As a consequence of this, his mother was seriously injured and died 4 years later, but, ironically, the American occupation of Japan that followed the attack gave Miyake a first approach to Western culture that he did not know, which was decisive. for later aesthetics.
