Piet Boon ® was founded in 1983 by the prestigious Dutch designer of the same name. The Dutch international design studio and global luxury lifestyle brand, is a globally recognized specialist in total concept design delivering exterior, interior and product design excellence for residential and business clients and business partners from all over the world.
Piet Boon (1958) came from a construction background to become one of the most high-profile Dutch designers. He began his career as a construction entrepreneur, and as a master craftsman, with a love of natural materials and signature details. His focus soon shifted to functionality, comfort, timelessness, and durability in his designs.
Karin Boon (1961) joined the company in 1986 as a joint business partner to lead Creative Direction and Styling. She has been instrumental in defining the Piet Boon ® design philosophy and style. Piet Boon Styling ® is a clearly recognizable interpretation of materials, textures, colors and meticulous detail.
Piet Boon ® also collaborates with selected brand association partners, such as Land Rover, Miele and Bang & Olufsen, among others. In addition Piet Boon ® has license agreements with 11 partners, including Moooi , Formani, Bod'or and Warendorf. Piet Boon ® has published three successful monographs showing the rapid international development of the design studio into an international luxury lifestyle brand. Piet Boon was launched in 2001 and Piet Boon 2 in 2005. Both in English and Dutch. Piet Boon 3 was published in 2011 in 8 languages. The company is very excited about the launch of Piet Boon stying by Karin Meyn on October 30, 2012, also in 8 languages. It is the first book for Karin , Piet 's wife and Creative Director of Piet Boon ® and Head of Styling .
