Gio Ponti

Gio Ponti (November 18, 1891 in Milan – September 16, 1979 in Milan) was one of the most important Italian architects, industrial designers, artists and publicists of the 20th century. Its most outstanding work is the "Pirelli Tower",1 the former headquarters of the homonymous firm for which it was built between 1956 and 1961. It is currently the headquarters of the "Regione Lombardía". It is located in Milan next to the Central railway station. On the American continent, the Villa Planchart (1953-1957) in Caracas, Venezuela and the Denver Art Museum (1970-1971) in Denver, Colorado, USA stand out.
