Alessandro Mendini

Alessandro Mendini (1931 in Milan) is an Italian industrial designer and architect. He played an important role in the development of the Italian design style. He also worked on the side of his career as an architect, for the magazines specialized in design and architecture Casabella, Modo and Domus. In the 1970s he was one of the main personalities of the Italian Radical design movement. In 1979 he joined the Estudio Alchimia as a partner, where he worked with Ettore Sottsass and Michele De Lucchi.
